"His gravestone gives the date of his birth as Dec 16, 1725, which is evidently a stonecutter's mistake ..."
His tombstone states erroneously "Dec 16, 1725."
However, Jacobus states 1799, and in NHCHS Box7 Folder A, Hubert and Francis use 1799. It might be the better date.
"per an old gravestone at Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut. (Jacobus Vol 7 pp 1601)"
