Josef Cedzich arrived in New York aboard the ship SS Augusta Victoria on June 14, 1902.3 His wife Amelia had come the year before, but documentation of her arrival has not yet been found. Josef brought daughter "Marie" with him,3 the other children came later1
At Saint John's Cemetery, Josef is buried with his mother Josefa Cedzich who died 8 Nov 1912, age 77. She arrived at Ellis Island September 7, 1903 aboard the ship SS Finland. Her grandchildren Josefa and John (Jan) arrived with her. Also traveling with her was her daughter Helena Czopek, wife of Kazimir or Cassimir Czopek, who was already here. Josef and Kazimir lived at the same address, College Point 15, Street 135, New York City.
