HANNAH SEDGWICK, daughter of Major General Robert Sedgwick and Joanna Blake, was born probably in Charlestown, Mass., where her baptism is recorded in the record book of the First Church, as follows:
"1641, 1st. mo. day 14, Hannah Sedgwick, the daughter of Robert Sedgwick arid Joanna his wife was baptised."
That would be Mar. 14, 1641, new style calendar. (N.E.25, p.150) There seems to be no further record of her. She was living in 1655, however, as in a letter of the General to Cromwell, under date of Nov. 4th, 1655, he says, "I have five children."
Administration of the General's estate was granted to his wife Joanna, in England, Sep. 30, 1656, and it is possible that Hannah returned to England with her mother, and remained there.
