Samuel Sedgwick
[William Sedgwick / Elizabeth Stone] Mary Hopkins [Stephen Hopkins / Dorcas Bronson] With the money he inherited from his grandmother Stone, Samuel Sedgwick bought a farm in West Hartford, Connecticut. His family lived there for many generations, and the road along the north side of the farm bears the name Sedgwick. He and his wife Mary Hopkins had a large family and have thousands of descendants. George Sedgwick determined that Goodwin was in error, that this William was in fact the same peson as William (21) son of Jonathan (2).
