Andrew Phillips appears to be the son of Matthew and Barbara Phillips in the 1880 census of Spalding, Menominee, Michigan, he born Prussia, she born Wisconsin.

One Andrew Phillips married a Christy Armstrong in Escanaba in 1912.^7b No way to know whether it is this Andrew; in fact, the fact that he shows up single in 1920 might indicate it is not, or was he unlucky enough to lose two wives in a decade?
