17 August 1864: Enlisted Wisconsin 42nd Inf Reg Co A, Corporal 20 June 1865: Mustered out Wisconsin 42nd Inf Reg Co A, Milwaukee, WI July 26, 1890: Invalid Pension granted August 11, 1897: Widow's pension granted to widow Amanda According to his obituaries he also served in the Florida Indian Wars. The Antigo City Cemetery, Antigo, Langlade, Wisconsin, has a "Soldiers' Circle" where Civil War veterans are buried "in the middle of the cemetery near the entrance." Samuel T Sedgwick is buried in this place of honor. His tombstone bears this inscription:
