Mary Cornelia Judd is reported to have been from Ripon (Fond du Lac) Wisconsin. The family is in Lenox in 1840 and in Waupon, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, near Ripon in 1850 (indexed "Ludd" at Ancestry.com). On May 1, 1848, James B Judd purchased 120 acres near Waupon described as follows: 1 E½NE 4TH PM - 1831 Minnesota/Wisconsin No 14 N 15 E 9One of Mary's brothers was named James B Judd, but in the 1850 census Mary's father was the landowner; he must have been James B, as well. Henry and Mary probably knew each other as children in Lenox, but her family moved to Wisconsin when she was eight almost nine. How did these two get together as young adults to marry? Some reports say they married in Lenoxdale, some say Ripon. I have not found the marriage record. Mary Cornelia Judd had a brother Uriah Judd, born 1926, who is reported to have been one of the founders of the Republican Party.3a Children:
