Mary Cornelia Judd was descended from Thomas Judd, one of the founders of Hartford, Connecticut, and from Mayflower Pilgrims William Brewster (a religious leader at Plymouth) and William Bradford (Governor of Plymouth Colony). A genealogy for her is here at Ancestry.com. Born in Lenox, she moved with her family in 1846 to Waupon, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Henry and Mary probably knew each other as children in Lenox, but she was quite young when they moved. How did these two get together as young adults to marry? Henry and Mary apparently never moved from the house where he grew up. They were there with his parents in every census till the parents passed away. The City of Ripon, Wisconsin (near Waupon) is "Proudly called the Birthplace of the Republican Party" (from their website cityofripon.com). Edwin Uriah Judd, born 1926, brother of Mary Cornelia Judd, is reported to have been one of the founders.3a Children:
