Richard Sedgwick and Gertrude Minnie Cutts were married December 26, 1908 at St. Andrews Church, Nottingham. On the Marriage Certificate his occupation is listed as Fish Salesman and address as 35 Heskey St, Nottinghamm.

Richard (age 27), Gertrude (age 28) and Thomas Willliam Sedgwick (age 3) arrived at Ellis Island, New York September 5, 1913 aboard the ship Mauretania3. They moved to Brooklyn and apparently remained there the remainder of their lives.

Children:

Thomas William Sedgwick
  b. abt 1910, Nottingham, England
nothing more is known of him

Richard had a brother William Henry Sedgwick, christened the same date as he, June 21, 1893 Sneinton, Nottingham. When he Richard an Gertrude immigrated, the brother was already here. It seems possible that the William Sedgwick in the 1920 census Brooklyn ED 641, 451 Prospect Place, may be this brother.
