A John "Sidgewick" from Wayne County, Indiana, served in the Civil War in the 105th Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry. This was a short term unit organized July 12, 1863, to repel the Morgan Raid and mustered out six days later on July 18, 1863. This is probably this John.
