Peggy Sedwick [Zadock Sedwick / Elizabeth Murphy] Moses Herrington [Parents Unknown] Census records: Are these also Moses?Moses Herrington, widower of Peggy Sedwick, appears in the 1850 Virginia, Rappahannock census. He has a wife Barbary and several children. I saw a tree at Ancestry.com that identified her as Barbary Shanks, and the children match those of the census. I found a marriage record for Moses Herrington to Barbara Shanks December 21, 1835 in Fauquier County, Virginia.4
Everything looks good here, but there is one possible contra-indication: There is also a Moses Herrington in Fauquier County, Virginia in the 1830 census, and a Moses Heringdon there in 1840, but not in 1850. Is it possible that they moved from Culpeper to Fauquier county in 1830 between census coounts and were counted at both locations? Children:
Susan E. Herrington
