Census records:

Adam K McQuilling of North Henderson, Illinois, enlisted in Company A, 30th Infantry Regiment Illinois on September 24, 1861 and mustered out on September 20, 1864. He was granted an Invalid Pension on Feb 7, 1887.

Adam Kline McQuilling, his wife Margaret and their daughter Inez moved to Pasadena, California in 1874, where he became president of the Pasadena Land and Water Company. They remained there the remainder of their lives.
