This lady's name may have been Eliza Julia or a variant of that. She appears first in the census records as Julia, but went by Eliza most of her adult life. In 1880 she is even listed as Eliza J. In the 1900 census her birth was listed as December 1840, but she may have ben born in 1839; in early life she was 10, 20 and 30 in the census records.

In 1900 "Eliza" is reported as mother of four children, all still living. However, in 1910, she said she had borne seven children, two of whom were still living.

It appears that George is the George Bowen who married Flora Unknown about 1896 and appears in the 1900 census at Poy Sippi, Waushara, Wisconsin with daughters Blanch and Fern born about 1897 and 1898. A family ree at Ancestry.com says he died before 1910.

It appears that Alice passed away between 1900 and 1910, and that in 1910 Ernst is widowed, a street car conductor in Milwaukee, boarding with a family.

William and Lillian Balsley appear in census 1900 WI Portage Stevens Point, 1920 WI Washaura Warren and 1910, 1930 WI Winnebago Oshkosh, not found 1940. They have a son William E aho has a son William H.

Mrs. P. L. Sedgwick. At the home of her grand-daughter, Mrs E. M. Hungerford, 109 Royington Avenue, Mrs. Phyllinda L Sedgwick died Thursday afternoon. The funeral was held from the residence Saturday, Rev. L. G. Carr officiation. The deceased was born at Ostelick, N.Y., Aug. 11, 1819, was married in 1839 to Henry A Sedgwick and removed to Stevens Point about twenty years ago. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. E. H. Bowen, of Poy Sippi, Waushara County, who was here to attend the funeral, and one son who lives at Sandusky, in Sauk County.
