Founder of Sedgwicks Ltd., Oil, Glass, Leadlight and General Merchants. Est. 1892. Murray Street, Perth, W. Australia. Born: London, England 1863. Son of William and Caroline Sedgwick (nee Dean), both of London. Went to Auckland, NZ, 1883 and Melbourne, Australia, 1889. Was contracting under own name in NZ 1884, Melbourne 1889 and Perth 1902. In 1925 Mr Clarkson of Adelaide, purchased the business. Owing to failing health Mr Sedgwick has retired from all commercial activities, his only interest now being in the land. Married: Jane Spence, eldest daughter of Alexander Spence, of Falkirk, Scotland, Jan. 28, 1891. Issue: Two sons and two daughters. Club: King's Park Bowling. Recreation: Bowls. Politics: Nationalist. Creed: Protestant. Home address: 7 Havelock Street, Perth, W. Australia.
